THE HIMACHAL PRADESH LIVESTOCK IMPROVEMENT RULES
(1969)
To prohibit the slaughter of cow and its progeny in Himachal Pradesh.

 

Intimation with regard to the possession of any bull required to be given under to the Livestock Officer shall be given within 15 days from the date of issue of the notification under section 3, or from the date of coming into possession of the bull, as the case may be Section 5

The order to be issued under section 6 by the Livestock Officer requiring any person keeping a bull to present the bull for inspection shall be Section 6 in Form No. I.

Where after inspection of the bull produced before him and in pursuance of the order, issued under section 6, the Livestock Officer is of the view that the bull is capable of being used for breeding purpose and should be Section 7 certified as approved within the meaning of section 7, he shall certify the bull as approved and cause it to be branded with a mark “H.P.” on right thigh and “R” on left thigh.
