Schemes and Programmes

 

  1. Technical control of Plant Protection activities in the State.
  2. Technical guidance to the orchardists in Plant Protection Activities.
  3. To make available the Plant Protection Inputs on subsidized rates for the control of major/minor pests of fruit crops.
  4. To organize plant protection trainings as and when required.
  5. To extend repair facilities of plant protection equipments to the orchardists and the extension agencies of the department
  6. To finalize spray schedules for the control of pest and diseases of apple, mango, citrus, litchi and stone fruits every year in collaboration with the Scientists from UHF, Nauni and orchardists representatives.
  7. To provide Technical know how regarding beekeeping in the state.
  8. To provide subsidy on various inputs/bee keeping material to the eligible individuals.
  9. To make available bee colonies, beehives, honey extractor, bee veils, C.F. Sheet etc. to the needy individuals for bee keeping.
  10. Organization of training camps in bee keeping.
  11. To provide bee colonies on very reasonable rate for pollination of fruit crops.
  12. Implementation of the H.P. Fruit Nursery Registration Act-1973 in the state.
  13. Multiplication, mass rearing and release of bio agents for the control of insect-pests of fruit crops.
