Extension Activities

To make people aware of activities of department, extension programmes by organizing camps at village level are being conducted by the department.

Sexual Health camps are being organized at Village level to over come problem of repeat breeding amongst cattle.

Department has initiated  extension programmes through All India Radio (AIR-Shimla) namely Radio School and Doordarshan (DD-Shimla) namely Live Phone-in programmmes.  Information on Scientific rearing of animals, common problems faced by farmers and information on various diseases of animals and their management is being given through these programmes.
